This whole not eating chocolate deal is a lot harder than I thought it would be! There has been a bowl of M & Ms just outside my office and I have almost grabbed a couple without even thinking more than once today! It is going to be a long 40 days, but it is definitely for the best.

And I'm back in the game!!
Two pounds lost!! HECK YES!! I can’t tell you guys how excited I am for this loss. I worked hard this week and it paid off! Hopefully the scale will continue to go in the downward direction and I can pull through this plateau.
Also, I took my measurements again and there wasn’t any change except for a half inch lost off my waist. This brings my total inches lost to 31.5!...

Lent
Orthodox lent has officially started. I struggled with what to give up because I wanted something that wouldn’t hinder my weight loss. So I decided on chocolate.
I LOVE chocolate. I have a couple pieces of Dove dark chocolate almost every day so this will definitely be hard. But I think it’s a really good decision that will also benefit my weight loss.

I’m ex-hausted! We had a great weekend with just the right amount of fun, chores and relaxing. I love weekends like that.
Moving forward into this week. Weigh in this morning when I get to work followed by a busy Monday. The rest of my week doesn’t look too busy but that could always change. I do have a fun weekend coming up to look forward to!

Restaurant Week

Update from the elliptical
So yesterday I did 20 minutes on the elliptical. It was my first time doing it in a loooooong time. I was a little nervous how I would feel today, but I feel great! Apparently I can handle more time because I do not feel sore at all. Hooray! I’m going to try and add some more time the next time I’m up there!

I’m so looking forward to my massage and adjustment tonight at my chiropractors. Like, a lot. Another gain
Ugh. At least it was only a half a pound gain. And I didn’t go past the 50 pounds lost mark…which is really good. But I need to get into gear. Tonight, on my way home from work, I’m stopping at DSW and buying a new pair of running shoes. I have been itching to go to the gym in my building and use the elliptical but since I threw my running shoes away in Greece this summer...
Weigh in day and I fear this will be my first time gaining weight two weeks in a row. I did really well during the week but this weekend I ruined everything with all of the delicious food.
Ugh! This week I will turn it all around.

Bridal shower for my “cousin” today!!! I’m out in the suburbs to help get stuff together. Let me just tell you, there is literally TONS of delicious food around here. I’m going to do my very best to eat light and track everything. Fingers crossed! I have about 30 extra WPs on top of my DPs, so I’m hoping to not overdo it.

Scallops!!
So, my local Dominick’s didn’t have fresh scallops, but they had frozen ones. The only problem was they cost a buttload. Annnnnd, I was right.
But I really wish I wasn’t. Weigh in was not good. Not good at all. I gained 2.5 pounds. UGH!! I’m so frustrated. Thank goodness I didn’t go back over the 50 pound mark, but this is just ridiculous. I realize that it is shark week so I’m retaining water like a motherf-er. But still. I don’t like it.

Tomorrow is weigh in and I have a VERY food heavy weekend. Fingers crossed it goes well.
But I know that I will be starting the day and week off right with a Wii Fit work out! I’m actually really looking forward to it, who would have thought?!

What a great way to end my week!
I was heading to lunch and waiting for one of the three elevators in my office. One opened and my friend was inside with couple other people. I walked in and said hi and she said “You look so skinny!!” Haha, it totally made my day! Now, I am no where near skinny, but it sure felt great to hear, either way!!

Ok, so I had totally planned to work out again this morning. I even woke up at 6.15 like I planned. But then, I got out of bed. And I realized my entire body was in pain. Ughhhhh my back, arms and legs are killing me!!
So, instead of working out I cleaned my kitchen which was desperately needed. Not how I planned to start the day, but I think it’s for the best. Plus, my kitchen is clean...

Hooray!
Thanks to a quick Facebook chat last night, I got the encouragement to get back to working out! So this morning, even though I have a long day ahead of me, I got up early and did 30 minutes of Wii Fit!
And do you know what? I’m so SO happy I did! I did 10 minutes of yoga and strength training, then 25 minutes of step aerobics and running, then 5 minutes of balance activities to cool...
